Throughout the mists of time, dragons have been creatures of power and mystery, helping
shape the course of history. Few have seen a dragon for themselves, knowing only of them through legends of
long past feats. Stories are told late into the night of the incredible might of these winged beasts, and how
humans once rode them in great battles. But that was long ago, and most have forgotten why those
battles were fought. But now darkness stirs, and a time comes when the dragons must fly again...For over a hundred years the knights of the kingdom have been the only humans to be in contact with dragons. The dragons enjoy a peaceful life, yet still train with the knights for the protection of the realm. The knights learn to ride the dragons in battle, and the dragons pass on their knowledge of magic to the knights. They are able to release great fireballs upon their enemies which, once the enemy is weakened, will transport them miles away. Upon reaching knighthood, each knight is given a sword with similar magic woven into its blade. The dragons, while fierce to behold, are wise and peaceful. It is a condition of their training with the knights that their methods are also peaceful. The knights have learnt much from the dragons over time, and happily accept this. You are a squire, learning the necessary arts to become a knight. You have almost finished your training at the castle which is the knights' centre of learning, hidden deep within the Valley of the Dragon Riders. When mountain dragons unexpectedly attack a mountain outpost, you are caught up in a journey which sees you needing all your skills to defend against the invading forces. You travel with bands of dragon knights throughout the kingdom and into neighbouring lands. It is not known why the mountain dragons have attacked, and as the story unfolds, the magnitude of the danger to your kingdom is revealed. Through thirty levels of adventure you will be involved in large dragon battles, be entrusted to escort the princess and fly through many missions. |
